If you live in a large metropolis and need to escape it every now and then consider buying a getaway on Longboat Key. A few of the fun things to do include - lounging on the beach, boating, sailing, fishing, eating, golfing, napping, walking and biking.

2) Weather - You won't be scraping ice off the windshield of your car on Longboat Key. Most likely you will be walking down the beach in shorts, flip flops and t-shirt. The sun shines nicely in Sarasota, Florida during the winter.
